The Best Mix For South Devon College.....

The Music Mill has now re located the radio studio to South Devon College and has undertaken an innovative new project of providing a curriculum based radio service for South Devon College.

Vibe FM provides a closed circuit radio service for the various SDC campus sites and programmes will be produced and presented by SDC students. The Music Mill has appointed Mike Harwood (formally of Orchard FM and Lantern FM) to act as station manager and mentor for the student presenters.

Students staff the station and benefit from hands-on training in a fully equipped industry standard studiio and shows are currently scheduled between 9am-3pm

And students from all courses have the chance to participate,providing they can find at-least one hour to spare during the week!

Vibe FM plays music (naturally),including songs recorded at the college but also features news & information relevant to the student population.The studio can also be used as a facility for producing podcasts. The station broadcasts to the main communal areas in the college & to the Music Mill in Newton Abbot.The studio can be found on level 1 near to reception and can be contacted on 01803 666379 or by e-mail:

As you can see from the pictures the students have some state of the art equipment to use and the launch of the station has created a huge buzz in the college.
