Our Heritage

31st March 2006 – The Music Mill was born, the building had a 3 month total refit program.

July 1st. 2006 – The Music Mill opened its doors, starting with a 3 month Album project in the studio while developing the dance school.

By Jan 2007 – we had established a relationship with South Devon College working with degree students 1 day a week. This grew into the full partnership agreement where we had students 5 days a week.

1st July 2008 – The first Music Mill Dance and Performing Arts show at the Palace theatre in Paignton. The second show was so successful we presented two performances at the Babbacombe theatre and the third was at the Princess theatre. This is now an integral part of The Music Mill Dance community for all to be able to take part in a live performance.

During this period we setup, managed and run on a daily basis the South Devon College Radio as well as installed the radio station at Coombeshead Academy. We manage the NRG show which is broadcast to 15 stations across Europe and has a worldwide audience and appeal. Our studios have been used to make programs for Palm FM, Gemini FM and in fact were used by Joss Stone for interviewing Robbie Williams as part of some shows she was recording for Gemini FM and the GCap radio group. We also ran weekend recording courses that were attended by Jamiroquai’s band and Hardfi.

Jan 2012 – The Launch of the Management and Development training courses.

May 2012 – Recorded and produced the Charity Single The Gift of Life by Nick Tilley in aid of organ donation awareness.

June 2012 – The Music Mill delivered an offsite music recording experience for the Chivenor Military Wives Choir.
